Where Are You?

Genisis 3:9

"Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" Genesis 3:9

"Where are you?" The Lord God asked Adam. The Lord God could just have easily asked, "What have you done?" As the Omniscient One He knew the answer to both questions. But notice, God was not initially concerned about the rebellious crime that had been committed. He was focused on WHERE Adam saw himself now in his relationship with God.

This year, instead of hiding from our sins let's remember our Father God loves us and is eager to find out how our sin will affect our relationship with Him. Where are you today? Hiding behind some false belief that you've committed the unpardonable sin? Is you conscious pricked? Yes? Then you are still in the place to dive into the sea of His great forgiveness. Come out from your worthless hiding place, be nakedly honest with God, repent i.e. be sorrowful for you sins. And watch how your Abba father will cleanse you from all guilt and shame and restore you to Himself. He will clothe you again with the righteousness paid for by Jesus' blood.

Personally, I believe Genesis would have not even been written if the "two" had simply remembered the loving relationship they had with Father God and run to Him in repentance instead of away from Him in fear.

"If you confess your sins God is faithful and just to forgive your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness." 1John 1:9

PS. I found a neat 52 week Bible reading schedule that I am enjoying. Each day takes me to a a different place in the Word so I am not going to get bogged down in numbers for a month. Need I say more? :) Click Here for the website to this plan. Scroll down and print the schedule.
