One day Jesus began to teach His disciples about His coming again, and the end of the age. He said, (in my words) "Watch out!" "In the time of My coming there's going to be lots of deception!" What does deception look like? How will many be deceived as false Christs (Anointed Ones) rise up declaring , "I am the Christ"?

Recently my Yahoo e-mail account was hacked into. Some of you may have received the phoney plea from me asking for money because I was stranded in some hotel in London with no wallet and no money. How did this hoax get sent out to my whole address book? Simple, I was deceived. I opened a "Yahoo" email that looked and sounded "official". It even said if I did not do what they requested within 2 weeks I would lose my Yahoo email address. All I needed to do was to give them my user information so they could update security for me. All the the while they were planning evil!

Now listen, two hesitations went on in me before I stupidly gave them every piece of my information: user ID, password, and yes even birthday! First I had a quick thought that I should run this by Randy or Alex, our son, both are knowledgeable about scams and hoaxes. I did not do that. Then I had a little sense that this request might not be "Real". I even sent the e-mail reply with the first line saying, "I hope this is legit." CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

Look, I am not being this transparent so that you can judge me or have a good laugh. This was no laughing matter! I am sharing this because I want you to be ready for your hour of deception.
Many will fall away and many will be deceived in the last days. Many false prophets will rise up declaring that they are the Christ (The Anointed One) and many will be deceived. I believe the subtly of deception will be rampant! Those declaring such false truths will package their lies to look like the REAL DEAL! My Fake Yahoo e-mail even had the red Yahoo Y in it!

More than ever we need to consult the authority of the Word of God. I should have consulted the computer knowledgeable men in my family. Likewise, we all better have our heart and our ears more fine tuned than ever to the subtle whisperings of the Holy Spirit. I'm sure He was telling me in a quiet way to beware of wolves in sheep clothing. He could have spoken up a bit and I would have heard plainly. But He let me learn a lesson, and gave me a FRESH BREAD for others. "take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in My Name saying, I am the Christ (the anointed one) and will DECEIVE MANY! Definition my insert.

This is my prayer, please pray with me: Father forgive me when I have become so distracted by the cares of life that I haven't taken time to nourish our relationship through reading Your Word and to fine tune my hearing of Your voice through spending time in Your presence. Save me please from the hour of deception coming upon the earth and draw me closer to You. I want to recognize Your voice and hear Your heartbeat and have my ear open to Your TRUTH! Come Lord Jesus and help me not to miss Your second coming by being deceived into believing lies! In your Name Jesus, I pray. Amen

ADDENDUM: One thing good came out of my recent e-mail hacking experience. I heard from lots of you! My heart was touched by many of you who KNEW the e-mail "from me" was a hoax because you really KNOW me. As some said, "it did not sound like you." "There was no mention of Jesus." "You are too organized to misplace your wallet." (not so true about my glasses) and lastly, the signature; "Regards, Marie", Not exactly how I ever sign my name. Plus, our real personal e-mails always carry our "Enjoy His Presence" closing. Even a wolf in sheep clothing cannot disguise his tail! Look for tails, brethren!
