A cold and clear blue western sky begins to catch the first rays of the eastern sunrise. Parallel power lines hang between my window and the view of the barren branches of the maple trees. All of nature is still in its Winter dormancy, and I am waiting for spring.

Now and then we get a tease that spring is indeed in the air, despite the fact that we still awaken to mornings of a heavy frost or a layer of snow. It is the way of life here in Appalachia.

The one constant in my window view is the power lines. They change not, season after season. So it is with the Power of God. He changes not. He remains stable, fixed, and ready to supply to us all we need. In fact the scripture tells us our God, is "able to do exceedingly abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think!" Imagine that promise! Our Everlasting Father is much more willing is to take care of us than we have even begun to imagine.

However, it is according to the POWER that works in us. What does that mean?
Am I connected to the source? Have I experienced His love and faithfulness and do I really believe in that love? The greatest power on earth is the power of love. When I open myself to God's abundant love there is awesome power released to me. It is like throwing on the switch in a dark room. Light drives out the darkness.

Receive the power of the Father's love in your life today. Just sit back and think about the consistency of such a loving and kind God. He is just so nice! Bask in His love as if you were sitting in your beach chair on a sun drenched beach. Then, from that powerful experience of His love, expect Him to do much more than you ever thought He could or would do for you. The next thing you know there will be a new Springtime in your life. Things will begin to bud and bloom. And oh, the fruit of receiving the power of His love working in you each day! Taste and see that He is good!
