To a prisoner or a slave "liberation" speaks volumes! To hear the words, "you are set free", has an impact upon them that perhaps you or I cannot comprehend. You have to know you are held captive to appreciate freedom.

Jesus talked with the Pharisees and basically accused them of being slaves. As law abiding members of the Jewish community they believed that they were free. Jesus wanted them to know that by having only a relationship with the law they did not really know His Father. Therefore, they were not sons. And, if not a son, then they were a slave. There is no intimacy in slavery.

Today, more Christians are experiencing greater sonship freedom in Christ. This is happening because the revelation of the Father's love is exploding upon His sons and daughters. Many have lived in slavery, following hard after church doctrines, rules of man, conditions for sonship that involved w-o-r-k. Jesus said He came to reveal the liberating love of the Father.

YOU are "really and unquestionably" free to enjoy being a child of your Father God. If you are not feeling your freedom today, ask Jesus to show you if you are an enslaved Pharisee. Is your relationship with Jesus about "keeping the law" or falling in love? The Son has Made YOU Free - liberated you to enjoy him, to be at home in His Father's house, and to experience His power to "make you free" in every aspect of your life! Embrace your destiny as a son or daughter of God today!
