I gave you two translations of the same verse so that this important verse would be well understood for its simplicity.
No matter where in this world I have traveled, one of the best things I’ve discovered is that many people struggle with the same things that have challenged me!
Do I really LOVE God? That had been a haunting thought for years. One day I read John 15:10 and got my answer.
All of the little and big acts of obedience I offered to my Jesus, were actually acts of love! Revelation for me!
When the Father asked me to move to Florida, Oklahoma, Maryland, Massachusetts, West Virginia… or go to France, Germany, Guatemala, or China, and I obeyed – I was loving Him!
Each time I heard the voice of the Lord asking me to give something, to do something for someone, to come apart to just “be” with Him, to study and teach His Word, to start a women’s ministry, and so much more… and I obeyed, I was giving HIM my love!
If you tend to wonder about how much you love Jesus just think of all the times you obeyed His Word. Think of all the times you obeyed the still small voice of His Holy Spirit.
And here are another couple of encouraging verses: “Loving God means doing what He tells us to do, and really, that isn’t hard at all; for every child of God can obey him, defeating sin and evil pleasure by trusting Christ to help Him. But who could possibly fight and win this battle except by believing that Jesus is truly the Son of God?” I John 5:3-5 LB
Are you obeying God today? YOU LOVE HIM! Are you struggling with obeying? HE STILL LOVES YOU AND WILL HELP YOU!
